An individual who is thought to have sexually assaulted a kid who is younger than 14 years old was taken into custody today, according to the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office.
According to a spokeswoman for the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office, Eric Martinez-Villanueva, age 21, was taken into custody and booked for the following charges: conducting lewd or lascivious acts with a child under the age of 14, engaging in unlawful sexual intercourse with a juvenile, and inflicting a traumatic condition upon a victim through physical force.
A sexual attack that occurred on Monday involved a victim who was under the age of 14 at the time of her abuse by an adult male suspect. The report of the crime was brought to the attention of the detectives.

Within the vicinity of 10 Lassen Way in Watsonville, Martinez-Villanueva was taken into custody at his residence.
According to the investigators, they are aware of further victims and are making efforts to get in touch with them as reported by KSBW News.
“If you believe you have been a victim of a crime involving Eric Martinez-Villanueva and have not yet talked to law enforcement, you are encouraged to reach out to the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office and speak to one of our detectives,” according to the official spokesperson.
