17-year-old Arrested with Woman Accomplice after Armed Robbery at a Store in Missouri

A woman and a juvenile were apprehended on suspicion of robbing three individuals in the 2700 block of South Old 63 on Monday by the Columbia Police Department.

Cz’Toia De Vose, 19, of Columbia, was apprehended, and the juvenile’s identity was not disclosed; however, court documents indicate that the individual is 17 years old. De Vose is currently being detained at the Boone County Jail without parole.

First-degree robbery, armed criminal action, and forgery were the charges against De Vose on Tuesday. A court date has not been established.

Police were dispatched to Campus Lodge Apartments at approximately 3 p.m. on Monday in response to a report of a larceny, as indicated by the probable cause statement. According to the statement, the victim reported to the police that they were assaulted during a robbery and sought treatment at University Hospital. The victim was conversed with by officers at the hospital.

The victim sustained stitches and a fractured septum as a result of the assault, according to the statement.

According to the statement, the victim allegedly informed the police that he had gone to Campus Lodge to sell marijuana and that De Vose and the juvenile had provided him with counterfeit money. The victim allegedly reported to the police that one of the individuals pointed a pistol at his chest, struck him in the face with the gun, and took his cell phone.

Court documents allege that a witness informed the police that they recognized two individuals at the sale and that the 17-year-old had a gun and pointed it at her and the victim.

According to court documents, the witness was allegedly capable of providing Snapchat information on both individuals, and the police were able to obtain account information by analyzing their usernames. According to court documents, the police also compared the photographs to the information on the driver’s license that was available.

ABC17 News reported that the 17-year-old allegedly sent the witness numerous Snapchat messages following the incident, in which he appeared to acknowledge that a robbery had taken place.

The 17-year-old was informed by De Vose that she intended to use fake currency to purchase marijuana, and she allegedly admitted this to the police. Police were purportedly informed by the 17-year-old that he possessed a BB pistol.

Her detention was also based on an out-of-county warrant, according to a press release from the police. On May 23, a warrant was issued in Cole County for her apprehension. She was accused with second-degree tampering with a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor, according to court records.
