3-Year-Old Boy Dies from Brain Injury, Man Arrested for Child Abuse in North Carolina

Police say a man from Dunn has been charged with felony child abuse causing serious injury after a three-year-old boy died from a major brain injury.

In the morning of Monday, the Dunn Police Department was called to 400 Ponderosa Drive to help Dunn Emergency Services with a three-year-old child who wasn’t responding. As soon as the police arrived, they called the Criminal Investigations Division to start a probe.

A guy who was at the scene, Micha Ezekiel Wynn, was arrested and taken to the Dunn Police Department to be questioned, along with the child’s mother, Sierra Privette. The boy, three years old, was taken to a nearby hospital and then rushed to a trauma center, where he died.

Arrest papers say that the child had a serious brain injury that caused a brain bleed. Records show that Wynn, Privette’s boyfriend, was watching the boy at the time.
