A woman from Preston County was taken into custody over the weekend for allegedly striking the head of an unconscious woman against the concrete.
A woman was reportedly attacked by Johnna Goines, 35, at the Circle K in Kingwood on Friday, as stated by the Kingwood Police Department.
Authorities were called to the scene of an altercation around 4:30 p.m. Upon arrival, they discovered a disoriented individual with blood around their mouth, who was attempting to alleviate the pain by applying ice to their head. According to court documents, the individual claimed to have no recollection of the incident and was subsequently transported to the hospital by EMS.
Fortunately, a witness at the scene promptly provided the police with crucial information about the incident. According to the witness, there were some conflicts between the victim and Goines. When the victim left the store and approached Goines’ truck, Goines wasted no time in striking her.
According to court documents, the witness informed the police that the victim was rendered unconscious and became limp after the initial blow. Goines proceeded to strike her two more times, forcefully grabbed her hair, and forcefully slammed her head into the concrete.
The witness provided a statement to the police. According to court documents, Goines’ husband swiftly lifted the victim as if she were a lifeless doll, before placing her aside and quickly driving away.
Goines has been charged with malicious assault as reported by WDTV News.
