Warning Issued after Robbery Spree Hit Several Districts in Chicago

Chicago, IL: The Chicago Police Department has issued a warning after a series of armed robberies hit the neighborhoods of Albany Park, Lincoln, and Rogers Park,

In the aftermath of a string of armed robberies that have left the community in Chicago’s 17th, 20th, and 24th Districts rattled, residents of these neighborhoods are on high alert.

According to a community notice issued by the Chicago Police Department, a group of criminals have been threatening victims with brass knuckles or metal pipes to coerce them into handing over their belongings.

The thieves are boldly demanding that their victims hand over their phones and passcodes, contributing to the troubling regularity and intensity of the crimes that are taking place.

On one occasion, a series of robberies occurred on the West Wrightwood block at precisely 8:40 p.m. on a Sunday. In another instance, a series of robberies occurred in rapid succession on a Friday morning across several areas, including North Hermitage, North Damen, and North Kedvale.

The Chicago Police Department is making every effort to find the suspects responsible for these crimes as swiftly as possible and to fit together the pieces of the puzzle.

The gray Hyundai Elantra that was involved in the incidents was recovered by the authorities, which might potentially bring them one step closer to solving the case.

Two to three Hispanic males, dressed in black hooded sweatshirts and black ski masks, have been identified as the perpetrators of the armed robberies. These individuals have been brought to light through the dissemination of descriptions of the perpetrators.

When confronted, members of the community are urged to maintain their composure and remain vigilant at all times.
