7 Burglaries within 2 Hours in Chicago, Suspects at Large

Chicago, IL: According to Chicago police, a trio of burglars targeted over six establishments during two hours of criminal activity on the North and Northwest sides of the city.

The incident of burglary occurred throughout the time frame of 5:20 a.m. to 6:40 a.m. on Thursday. According to the police, the criminals employed a hammer to forcefully break the glass doors of a business, either the front, side, or rear, to gain entry. They then proceeded to pilfer cash from the registers or the entire cash register drawers.

The surveillance footage captured at the George Street Pub in Lakeview depicts a complete burglary, as one crook unlawfully enters the establishment, and then, all three individuals proceed to enter. The internal camera captures them inflicting further destruction before proceeding to the cash register and frantically searching for money.

Subsequently, the group was once again captured on tape unlawfully entering Ravinia Brewing Company located on Diversey close to the Kennedy Expressway.

  • 3000 North Block of Broadway at 5:22 AM
  • 2300 North Block of Leavitt St at 5:40 AM
  • 2400 West Block of Schubert St at 5:57 AM
  • 2800 North Block of Halsted St at 6:06 AM
  • 2600 West Block of Diversey at 6:16 AM
  • 3000 North Block of Milwaukee Ave at 6:26 AM
  • 600 West Block of Briar Place at 6:39 AM

The suspects are identified as three unidentified males, aged between 20 and 30 years, with a height ranging from 5 feet 7 inches to 6 feet, and a weight ranging from 150 to 170 pounds. The individuals were attired in black masks, black hooded sweatshirts, black trousers, and gloves, and employed a hammer.
