Pit Bull Viciously Attacked Woman in Boston; Victim Traumatized after Mauling gave Her Critical Injuries

Honk News – A woman suffered serious injuries from a dog attack on Brunswick Street in Dorchester on Thursday, prompting her family and coworkers to raise concerns about the actions of the dog owners.

A woman, known only as Rosalia, suffered severe injuries from a dog attack at a residence where she and an unnamed coworker were employed as home aides. A colleague informed WFXT that Rosalia had previously been to the residence without any issues.

“But today it was different. They just attacked her as soon as they saw her,” the coworker told the station. “My mom was lucky enough to get out of the situation. She ran away asking for help. She tried to help her, but she knew that if she jumped on them, they would have hurt her too.”

Rosalia’s family has shared that she suffered significant injuries to her leg and might need surgical intervention. Authorities reported that a tourniquet was utilized at the location. Frustration was voiced by the family and coworkers regarding the slow reaction from the dog owners.

“You see the dogs running. doing this and you still don’t come out until after the accident happened and she was obviously screaming asking for help. The neighbors came out before the owner did,” the coworker told the outlet.

While the dog owners chose not to participate in an interview, it was noted that at least four dogs were seen on the property Thursday night. Authorities have notified the family of the victim that a pit bull is thought to be mainly accountable for the incident.

“I still see them there. My mom told me those are the dogs not to get near them. She doesn’t even want to see them,” the coworker added when speaking to WFXT.

Authorities in Boston are looking into the situation involving animal control. In the meantime, loved ones of Rosalia, a devoted mother and grandmother, are holding onto hope for her healing.
