Woman Opens Emergency Exit, Climbs Onto Wing at Seattle Airport: Authorities

Honk News – A passenger with heightened nerves on an Alaska Airlines flight took a startling action by opening the emergency exit and stepping onto the wing after Flight 323 arrived at the gate in Seattle on Sunday.

As passengers started to leave the commercial flight around 5 p.m., an unidentified woman decided she could no longer wait to disembark at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport after arriving from Milwaukee, according to a report.

“During deplaning of the aircraft a passenger on board became anxious and opened the emergency exit over the wing. The woman climbed out onto the wing,” a spokesperson for the Port of Seattle told KIRO 7.

Emergency responders acted swiftly to assist the woman on the wing, and following an assessment by a police crisis team, it was decided that she required hospitalization for further medical evaluation, according to the spokesperson’s statement to the station.
