Oklahoma Daycare Workers Arrested after Dragging Kids to Pick up Toys; Mother of Severely Bruised Kid Reported Incident to Police

A pair of childcare workers in Hobart have been charged with child negligence as a result of occurrences that took place at the Community Action Development Corporation Head Start throughout the course of their employment.

There is a criminal count of child neglect that has been brought against both Crystal Edmundson and Pamela Siesser.

It is stated in the court filings that the investigation was initiated at the request of the Assistant District Attorney for Kiowa County. According to the documents, the Assistant District Attorney then requested that the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation investigate charges of child neglect after a mother disclosed the abuse.

According to the investigators, Siesser was seen on surveillance video that was taken in April tugging a child who was five years old by the arm, dragging them across the classroom, and then dropping them.

Edmundson is said to have been witnessed on the same day knocking a child who was four years old out of their cot while they were sleeping. He then allegedly grabbed the child and took them to the ground in order to force them to pick up toys.

It is also reported that she was caught on camera doing the same thing to a child who was five years old. The child then informed their mother about the incident, which resulted in a review of the tape from their camera.

The maximum sentence that can be imposed on either of them is up to life in jail as reported by a local news outlet.
