Lucas County, OH– An Ohio woman has been taken into custody following allegations of kidnapping and torturing a man by pouring hot grease on him.
Indiolla Howell, 36, was taken into custody and placed in the Lucas County Detention Center on December 13 after a male victim reported to the police that she purportedly assaulted him in multiple ways for approximately thirty minutes, as stated in an affidavit. The victim reported that her methods included stabbing and slicing his skin across his face, arms, and torso.
She reportedly “poured hot grease” on him, “set a coat on fire and dripped the burning embers” on him, and “hit him with a metal pan.”
Howell is confronted with four serious felony charges, which include kidnapping with intent to terrorize or cause significant physical harm to the victim, aggravated arson, and weapon-related assault.
According to Toledo CBS affiliate WTOL, she is currently held on a bond of $300,000. The status of the alleged victim remains unclear, according to their report.
The victim, who informed the police about the alleged assault, did not provide any additional details regarding Howell’s motive. The nature of his relationship with Howell remains unclear.

He mentioned that Howell reportedly used a “sharp instrument” to stab and slice him. The location of the assault remains uncertain, but the affidavit indicates that it occurred in Toledo, the city where Howell resides.
Howell is still in custody and will have a preliminary hearing in court on Dec. 20.
