New Jersey Teacher Arrested for Explicit Relations with Students in School; 2 Victims Reported Abuse to Authorities

Authorities have announced that a former teacher from Wall Township High School is facing additional charges after a second student came forward, accusing the teacher of having a sexual relationship. The Monmouth County prosecutors and Wall Township police are handling the case.

On July 3, Julie Rizzitello, a 36-year-old resident of Brick Township, was taken into custody. She is facing charges of second-degree sexual assault and third-degree witness tampering.

According to prosecutors, Rizzitello is accused of assaulting the second student on multiple occasions in Brick Township in 2017.

The reported criminal activity started in 2017 involving another student. Authorities in Brick Township have reported multiple instances where a 36-year-old woman named Julie Rizzitello, from Brick, has been accused of participating in different sexual acts with a second victim.

Authorities have reported that the alleged crime occurred on multiple occasions and in at least three towns: Belmar, Brick, and Wall.

Rizzitello has tendered her resignation earlier this week.

Teacher From Worcester’s South High Charged With Child Rape in Rutland Case

Police have reported that charges have been filed in Monmouth County for the Wall offense and in Ocean County for the Brick offense.

Rizzitello was taken into custody on July 3 and is facing charges of second-degree sexual assault, third-degree witness tampering, and fourth-degree criminal sexual contact.

She is currently being held at the Monmouth County Correctional Institution and will have a detention hearing at Monmouth County Superior Court. Rizzitello’s detention hearing has been set for July 23.
