Florida Police chased Stolen car going over 100 MPH; Driver arrested in Brevard County

Brevard County, FL: After being discovered driving a stolen automobile at speeds above 100 miles per hour and leading troopers on a two-county chase on Friday, an 18-year-old male from Palm Bay is facing multiple charges, according to an arrest report. An arrest record states that the man was taken into custody.

Driving recklessly, operating a car without a valid license, fleeing and eluding a police officer, and committing grand theft of a motor vehicle are the allegations that have been brought against Zyairre Brown.

In Orange County, at approximately 4:40 p.m., state troopers reported seeing the Brown on State Road 520, close to Maxim Parkway.

An officer saw a black Toyota Camry traveling east at 103 miles per hour in a 65-mile-per-hour zone, as stated in the report for the incident.

Troopers said that the vehicle began to slow down at the intersection of State Road 520 and State Road 528, but it did not come to a complete stop and began to accelerate away from the scene.

The man also stole the car from Melbourne.

The report states that the trooper was able to call the license plate into dispatch as the suspect approached County Road 532. The dispatcher informed the trooper that the vehicle had been stolen from Melbourne on the same day.

In accordance with the Florida Highway Patrol, the pursuit proceeded down State Road 520 and entered Brevard County. The Camry continued to travel east at a high rate of speed, “going between the inside and outside lanes,” before driving on the right shoulder and splitting lanes, according to the troopers who were on the scene. At least three passengers were inside the vehicle.

The car indicated that it was going to make a right turn to proceed south on State Road 501 as it neared the intersection of State Road 501. However, it indicated that it was going to make a U-turn and turn left onto State Road 501, which was now headed north.

Two troopers allegedly slammed the Camry, which resulted in the vehicle coming to a stop because of the collision.

Brown was taken into custody and lodged into the Brevard County prison.
