Mandeville, LA: The Mandeville Police made a successful drug bust when the deputies found a man loaded with all sorts of narcotics and firearms in his possession.
The discovery of drugs, firearms, and roughly $38,000 in cash at residences in Mandeville and Tangipahoa Parish has resulted in the filing of various criminal charges against a man.
This led to the search of the residence of Byron Seymour, who is 49 years old, according to the deputies of St. Tammany Parish, who received a tip from the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office on March 21.
In addition to the cash, deputies discovered four semi-automatic guns that were illegally possessed and a total of $38,214.
During their search of another residence in the parish that was connected to Seymour, deputies from Tangipahoa Parish discovered a “substantial amount of illegal drugs and a firearm,” according to the department’s report.
Following an investigation, it was discovered that Seymour was now serving federal probation as a result of a previous narcotics conviction. After his arrest, he was taken into custody and put into the Tangipahoa Parish jail. Additional charges are being considered for St. Tammany Parish at this time.
The authorities have started an investigation to uncover the supply chain and to nab all other suspects involved in drug operations across Mandeville.
