Honk News– Authorities are investigating the case of a bulldog found taped inside a trash bag and left behind in Des Moines.
A severely malnourished dog was discovered on Tuesday afternoon close to a railroad viaduct, with its head protruding from a black plastic garbage bag. The dog couldn’t walk due to the bag being taped securely.
A statement from police spokesperson Sgt. Paul Parizek revealed that the individual who discovered the dog noticed the bag due to its apparent movement.
Parizek announced on Saturday that the dog is gradually on the mend. The veterinary staff caring for the dog reported that he weighed merely 23 pounds (10 kilograms) when he was discovered.

Authorities are seeking assistance from the public to identify the dog and uncover the individual responsible for abandoning him. Authorities indicated that the dog’s ears have been altered, implying he may have had medical attention in the past.
