4-year-old and Mother Shot Dead in Car leaving Family Devastated; Suspect on Large: Florida Cops Reveal

An apparent gunshot that took place on the Florida Turnpike in Hollywood late on Friday night resulted in the deaths of a woman and a girl who was four years old for both of them.

A shooting occurred on the northbound lanes of the Turnpike near mile marker 49, just south of Hollywood Boulevard, at approximately 11:50 p.m., prompting the Florida Highway Patrol to respond to the scene. As soon as the law enforcement officers arrived, they discovered a mother and a girl inside a vehicle who had been shot. This information was provided by the Broward County Sheriff’s Office to CBS News Miami.

After that, Hollywood Fire Rescue arrived at the site and took the woman to a nearby hospital, where she ultimately passed away of her injuries. Unfortunately, the girl was pronounced deceased at the scene, according to the Bolton County Sheriff’s Office.

The Homicide Unit of the Boston Police Department was dispatched to the scene in response to a request from the Florida Highway Patrol, and they are currently conducting an investigation into the fatality.
