Michigan Man Admits Kidnapping, Killing and Dumping Ex-Girlfriend’s 2-year-old Daughter: Prosecutors Reveal

A guy from Lansing has entered a guilty plea to the charge of murder after the police say he kidnapped and killed the daughter of his ex-girlfriend, who was two years old at the time. The body of the girl was discovered dumped in an alleyway in Detroit.

First-degree murder and first-degree criminal sexual conduct were the charges that Rashad Maleek Trice, who is 27 years old, entered a guilty plea to on Monday, July 1 in the Ingham County Circuit Court.

In the United States District Court for the District of Grand Rapids, Trice had already entered a plea to a different charge, which was kidnapping that resulted in death. His sentence is expected to take place on July 19.

In a statement to the police, Trice was accused of stabbing and sexually assaulting his ex-girlfriend on July 2, 2023, and then stealing Wynter, who was two years old at the time.

Trice was driving a Chevrolet Impala the following day, and the St. Clair Shores police department made an attempt to pull it over. He made an attempt to run, but he collided with a patrol car and was subsequently taken into custody. It was not the female who was in the automobile.

Before her body was found on July 5 in the alley, she had been the subject of searches by a number of different police team as reported by Mlive News.

There is a planned sentencing hearing for Trice in the Ingham County Circuit Court on August 16th.
