A staff member at a Morris County daycare focused on autism services was taken into custody on Monday for a child abuse allegation, as reported by police.
Authorities have announced that Skylar Carroll, 25, faces charges of fourth-degree child abuse following a report from a mother alleging that her four-year-old child was assaulted at Carebot ABA in Budd Lake.
A daycare center at 100 International Drive offers tailored services for children aged 18 months to eight years with autism and other developmental disorders, as stated on the company’s website.
A representative from the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office informed Patch that although complete details are still pending, the reported assault occurred on July 23.
Authorities have verified that Carroll was issued a summons to attend court.
