Two Arrested after they Broke into Hotel Room with an Infant in Florida; Alleged Burglary Charges

Two women have been arrested for reportedly breaking into a hotel room on International Drive, accompanied by a baby.

Two individuals, Melody Ritch and Teisha Pulliam, were taken into custody and face charges following an incident at the Avanti Palms Resort and Conference Center in Orlando. The arrest affidavit, provided by the Orlando Police Department, details the events that occurred on Thursday.

In the early evening, the hotel’s general manager was conducting a routine check of the property when he discovered a room that seemed to be occupied without proper authorization or payment, according to the affidavit.

The hotel manager discovered two women, who were later identified as Ritch and Pulliam, along with an infant in the room, according to the police.

The door sustained damage during the reported burglary, with an estimated value of $300. In addition, the police have stated that the hotel charges approximately $130 per night for a stay, with an additional $24 fee for room cleaning.

It is currently unknown how the women gained access to the hotel room or their purpose for being there as per FOXOrlando.

Pulliam and Ritch are currently being held in custody at the Orange County Jail without the possibility of bond. There is currently no information available about the infant.
