Los Angeles, CA: According to the authorities, Chatsworth High School was placed on lockdown for a short period of time on Thursday morning after a shooting took place in the vicinity of the school.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, an unidentified suspect was taken into custody following the incident, which was claimed to have occurred in the 9900 block of Lurline Avenue, just east of DeSoto Avenue, at approximately 9:30 a.m.
An LAPD representative told ABC7 that there were no reports of anyone being injured by gunfire; nonetheless, two ambulances were requested to arrive to the location. It is probable that one individual sustained a head injury, while another one was having difficulty breathing.
In order to protect themselves while the police responded to the event, students and faculty members at the high school were instructed to remain confined within their classrooms for a period of forty-five minutes.
Just before ten o’clock in the morning, the lockdown was lifted.
