The unusual romance here between unfortunate Izumi Yuu and indeed the beautiful Shikimori Micchon is explored in Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie aka Kawaii dake ja nai Shikimori-san.
Shikimori transforms into a cool badass who saves her boyfriend whenever he goes into difficulty because of his bad luck tragedies. All through the anime’s so far published episodes, this idea is maintained.
Because both shows depict relationship objectives that break gender preconceptions, the anime community has labeled Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie as the next My Dress-Up Darling.
So, here’s what we know so far about the new season of the anime.

Only one option is to wait for the time being. Once the first season of the anime gets completed, anime fans should expect it to come. This Kawai anime is just halfway finished, and there are plenty of episodes still to see before another season comes.
When Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie Season 1 does really well, the program will almost certainly be revived for a second season. Given the mixed reviews, the anime producing committee may decide to renew the series for a second season. Nevertheless, given the producers would really want to test the market first, it’s unlikely that a second season was quietly greenlit before.
Viewers should anticipate a little wait for the Season 2 release date, as it has not yet been planned, but if we are asked to predict, it could launch in late 2023, according to other anime schedules so far by the Studio.

Which Is Better, the Anime or the Manga?
As per the Oricon manga Top 20 ranking for April 2022, the anime helped Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie manga sell significantly. Even Kaguya-sama: Love is War Season 3 series cannot make such a claim, as the manga for another Rom-com struggled to crack the Top 20, although the anime’s third season received positive reviews.
This totally depicts that the anime’s cuteness is a little more compared to the anime.
The storyline for the Shikimori anime is based on Keigo Maki‘s manga Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie. From February 2019, the manga has indeed been serialized in Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket digital webzine, and until May 9, 2022, it is down to Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie Volume 13.
Beginning in October 2020, North American company Kodansha USA started delivering the official Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie manga’s English translation. The English version of the Shikimori manga had up to Volume 9 till April 5, 2022, with the English Shikimori Volume 10 launch date presumably set for later in 2022.

Several alterations in the manga, such as the split of arcs and the story of the main romance, are arguably better received by the anime version than the original manga.
The earliest episodes would have been considerably more monotonous if the production had committed to a panel-by-panel adaptation, and several significant personalities would not be revealed only until the middle of the series.
