Carrollton, TX: According to the Carrollton police department, they have taken into custody an individual who is HIV positive and is suspected of committing multiple rapes. In the metroplex, the police are concerned that there may be other victims of the sexual assult.
On February 11th, the police department reportedly spoke with a victim of sexual assault who was receiving treatment at a hospital in Carrollton. Following that, Carlton Tambaoga, who was 25 years old, was taken into custody by the police for the alleged crime. He was found to be infected with HIV.
As a result of that first inquiry, the police were able to discover at least five additional victims of sexual assault.
The police suspect that Tamboaga has further victims in the DFW Metroplex, including some who have not yet come forward. These victims are located in Houston and Atlanta, Georgia.
HIV status is positive in Tambaoga. It follows that he might have transmitted the virus to the people he is said to have victimized.
In the course of the inquiry, the detectives are making efforts to make contact with the further affected individuals. It could be challenging to do that because many people are afraid to come forward.
