Robbery Victim Chased Robber in Los Angeles, Thief found Dead after Car Crash

According to reports that have been confirmed by the Los Angeles Police Department, a 21-year-old man was at a gas station in L.A.’s West Adams neighborhood on Saturday evening when he was approached by a group of armed men who proceeded to rob him.

The suspects quickly left the scene in a white sedan, while the victim pursued them in a Mercedes-Benz SUV.

During the pursuit, the victim’s SUV collided with the suspects’ sedan, resulting in the sedan losing control and crashing into a light pole at the intersection of Adams Boulevard and West View Street. This information was captured on video obtained by KTLA.

A fatality occurred in the collision involving one of the suspects, who was reportedly driving the sedan.

Following the crash, the remaining individuals managed to flee the scene and proceeded to engage in gunfire with the 21-year-old before making their escape. Preliminary information suggests that one of them was discovered hiding in a nearby backyard by a K9 unit and has been apprehended.

The victim of the robbery remained at the scene after the crash and fully cooperated with the authorities. It is unclear whether the victim sustained any injuries or what was taken from them initially.

The LAPD is currently investigating the incident as a homicide. However, it remains unclear whether the original robbery victim is currently in custody.
