A tragic incident unfolded in Chicago’s Chatham neighborhood early Sunday morning.
In the early hours of the morning, a heated dispute between three individuals and two men turned into a devastating gunfight.
As reported by NBC Chicago, following the disagreement, the two individuals entered a silver SUV and proceeded to shoot at the group before quickly leaving the scene.
An incident of violence occurred on East 76th Street in the 500 block. Tragically, three individuals lost their lives in a hail of gunfire, each suffering multiple gunshot wounds.
Two individuals were brought to the University of Chicago Medical Center, but unfortunately, they did not survive. The remaining survivors’ battle against mortality was tragically cut short within the clinical environment of the hospital.
Another fatality was confirmed after being transported to Stroger Hospital, according to NBC Chicago.
The individuals responsible are still on the loose, and the silver SUV was last seen traveling east on 76th Street. According to ABC 7 Chicago, there were no further injuries reported in the incident.
