Honk News– (Riviera Beach, FL) – A Riviera Beach woman, Ashleigh Weissman, has been arrested following two separate dog attack incidents that left three people injured. The attacks occurred on December 19 and December 29, 2024, at Weissman’s residence on West 24th Court.

Incident Details

December 19 Incident

  • Victims: A mother and her young child.
    • The mother sustained severe injuries to her right upper arm.
    • The child suffered a bite on the upper thigh and scratches on both cheeks.
    • The father, who was present, was unharmed.
  • Circumstances: The family was entering their home when three pit bulls charged and attacked them.
  • Response: Animal Care and Control required the dogs to remain indoors pending a follow-up.

December 29 Incident

  • Victim: A friend of Weissman.
    • The victim sustained multiple lacerations to her left arm and puncture wounds to her left thigh, requiring extensive medical treatment, including staples.
  • Circumstances: The victim was attacked by five to six dogs that emerged from the backyard while she arrived to pick up Weissman. Weissman and another individual intervened to stop the attack.
  • Response: Riviera Beach Fire Rescue transported the victim to St. Mary’s Medical Center for treatment.
