Everglades, FL: An airboat tour that was taking place in the Everglades of Florida sank, causing people to fall overboard, according to the authorities. According to a number of sources, this occurred when the driver of the airboat made a quick turn in an attempt to spot an alligator that was swimming in the water.
The Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Department reported that three units responded to a canal in the Everglades that was located close to Cooperstown The Original Airboat Tour on Friday afternoon. As a result of the boat making a sharp turn, nine persons, including the operator, were thrown into the sea, as reported by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.

FWC stated that the operator of the boat did not possess the appropriate documents that was required to operate the boat, which resulted in the operator being arrested.
The operator of the airboat was attempting to get a better look at an alligator that was located nearby when the airboat flipped over.
“My first thought was panic, and I was afraid for my wife and other members of my family,” said passenger Jose Maldonado, who spoke to Local 10 about his experience. “Then I thought about the alligator.”
