Honk News – A mother from Ohio has been taken into custody and faces charges of domestic violence following the circulation of a video that purportedly shows her mistreating her infant.
Cloe Workman, 20, was taken into custody on Thursday and faces charges for two serious offenses, including child endangerment and domestic violence. Court records acquired by WKRC reveal that Workman created a video where she is reportedly seen spitting on her baby’s face and forcefully pushing the baby down by the head.
She is reportedly shown forcing “dish detergent” into the baby’s mouth. A report indicated that the video was shared with the baby’s father and subsequently gained widespread attention.
An incident reportedly occurred on Monday, leading to a complaint being lodged the next day after numerous individuals viewed the video and demanded Workman’s arrest, as stated by the Cincinnati Enquirer.
An inquiry has been initiated by the Loveland Police Department and Child Protective Services following the video. Workman faced initial charges related to child endangerment, with an additional charge of domestic violence being introduced on Wednesday for the same incident.
The toddler, only slightly over a year old, has been confirmed safe and is now with her grandparents.
Workman was taken into custody at the Hamilton County Jail and subsequently released on her own recognizance. On Friday, she made her appearance in court. A judge has mandated that she wear a monitoring device at all times and stay under house arrest until her upcoming trial on January 6.
