Tennessee Teacher Brutally Molested Boy; Sentenced after She Gave Birth to Victim’s Baby

Honk News –  A Tennessee elementary school teacher, who became pregnant by one of her victims and subsequently gave birth, has discovered her outcome.

On Friday, Alissa McCommon, 38, received a sentence of 25 years without the possibility of parole for her convictions related to the sexual abuse of minors, according to a press release from prosecutors. She received a life sentence of community supervision on the Tennessee Sex Offender Registry as a Violent Sex Offender and was mandated to maintain no contact with the victims. Her teaching license will be taken away as well.

According to local ABC affiliate WATN, McCommon has welcomed a child whose father was one of the victims, and the child’s custody has been granted to the mother of that victim, as stated by Davidson.

A troubling phone call was revealed, where she reached out to the victim and expressed her intention to “raise this baby and love this baby, and I’ll do it by myself.”

Following her release on bond in the child rape case, she was taken into custody again for purportedly coercing a witness, along with charges of aggravated stalking and harassment.

The Covington Police Department reported that McCommon employed a particular code word familiar to the juvenile, which McCommon had previously used to verify the juvenile’s solitude, frequently prior to sending explicit images via SnapChat.

During the court proceedings, a phone call was presented where McCommon reportedly stated, “I will never text you again” and “You will never hear from me again.”

Prosecutors from the Tipton County District Attorney’s office celebrated the call as significant evidence indicating that McCommon was expecting a child from the alleged victim. However, the defense attorney, Jere Mason, challenged this assertion by raising doubts about whether the prosecution had definitively established that his client’s voice was on the recording.

McCommon’s initial arrest stemmed from allegations of raping a boy aged 12 or younger at her residence in 2021, but the claims extended further.

Officials suggested that there may be several individuals who were befriended by the ex-educator through video games and social media interactions, only to receive inappropriate images and be pursued for unlawful sexual meetings.

According to local Fox affiliate WHBQ, McCommon was an educator at Crestview Elementary. She is said to have joined Charger Academy, teaching fourth grade, where she was employed when she was suspended without pay on August 24, 2023. Officials reported that the sexual assault case came to their attention on the same day McCommon was suspended, following a parent’s disclosure of the allegations.

The accused faced additional complications while released on bond, as she reportedly utilized an unidentified phone number to send coded messages to a victim, implying he would “regret doing this.”
