According to a report, a tragic incident occurred in Ohio where a man allegedly stabbed his 74-year-old mother to death and injured his father. The incident took place after the man was informed that he could no longer reside in their home.
A man named Kenneth Mortimer, aged 40, has been taken into custody and is facing charges of murder, attempted murder, and felonious assault in relation to the incident.
Police in Hamilton County, Ohio, responded to a residence on Friday. According to WXIX, authorities have concluded that Mortimer had a disagreement with his mother, Barbara Mortimer, after she informed him that he could not spend the night at home.
During the altercation, things escalated and Barbara urgently requested her husband, Thomas, to contact emergency services.
According to the report, Kenneth Mortimer retrieved a knife from the kitchen and approached his parents who were seated on the couch. He proceeded to attack both individuals.
Barbara Mortimer hurriedly made her way to the door, only to be forcefully intercepted by Kenneth and forcefully pulled back into the house.
