Mom Killed in Front of Her Kids; Killer Arrested in Atlanta: Authorities

The authorities in Atlanta have arrested a man who killed a young mother.

Midway through the month of May, a young mother was fatally murdered in front of her child in the northwest neighborhoods of Atlanta, which led to the arrest.

Cartez Harvey, who is eighteen years old, was taken into custody by the police on Wednesday and charged with a number of offenses, including murder, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, second-degree cruelty to children, four counts of being associated with a criminal street gang, and one additional charge that appears to be related to being a member of a criminal street gang.

An individual named Nejha Cox, who was 21 years old at the time, was found shot on Hollywood Road NW in the Carey Park neighborhood of Atlanta shortly after midnight on Saturday, May 18.

Jamal Baker, who is 23 years old, was also taken into custody by the police on June 4 in connection with the killing of Cox.

As part of an incident that is believed to have been targeted, surveillance film showed someone inside another vehicle shooting a woman who was sitting in the passenger seat of that vehicle.

The police made the announcement that they were looking for three men who were walking around. When the incident occurred, her toddler was in the car with her at the time.

Since March of this year, there have been five instances of violent assaults in Carey Park as reported by Irish Star.
