Two Seneca residents are facing charges after an investigation uncovered disturbing allegations of child sexual abuse and the use of dog cages as a form of punishment.
Authorities in Seneca are currently investigating reports of child sexual abuse at a residence in the area. Shockingly, during their investigation, they uncovered evidence of children living in extremely deplorable conditions.
Authorities have confirmed that there were a total of seven minors who were subjected to abuse, all of whom were under the age of 18 when the incidents started. According to court records, the two youngest children were unfortunately subjected to confinement in dog cages.
Authorities have received a report from one of the children, who confided in a family member about the distressing situation they were facing. The child revealed that she and her sisters were victims of sexual abuse by a man residing in their home. She informed the authorities that she had brought the abuse to the attention of several adults at the residence, but no action was taken.
According to investigators, Holly Brewer and Billy Bresee allegedly subjected two children to physical abuse by confining them in a cage and using a wooden spoon to inflict injuries so severe that it broke the spoon.
Brewer faces three charges of felony child abuse. Bresee is facing a single count. According to the criminal complaint, Brewer and Bresee were fully aware of the harm they were causing as they continued to subject the victims to sexual abuse, resulting in physical injury. The bond for both suspects has been set at $5,000, either in cash or surety. It is important to note that they are prohibited from contacting the alleged victims involved in this case.
