Michigan Mother Slammed 8-year-old on Cooler; Arrested after Owner of Store Called Police after Glass Broke Down due to Impact

Honk News (Monroe, MI) – Police in Monroe, Michigan, arrested a 32-year-old woman on charges of child abuse and cruelty toward a child after a store security video showed her violently assaulting her eight-year-old son.

The incident occurred on January 7, 2025, at Towne Square Foods, located in the 1000 block of E. Third St. Security footage revealed the following sequence of events:

Child Protective Services (CPS) also intervened, taking all six children into protective custody. The children were later placed with family members.

The suspect, whose name has not been disclosed, is a 32-year-old transient with no permanent residence. She remains in custody at the Monroe County Jail.
