Orlando, FL- The Orlando Police Department made the announcement that a man had been taken into custody in connection with an assault that took place in a parking garage located on the grounds of the UCF Downtown campus.
The announcement was made on Tuesday as reported by ClickOrlando.
According to a press release issued by the University of Central Florida Police Department, the assault took place at the UCF Downtown campus on Sunday evening.
The woman and a guy had been riding a Lynx bus at the time, but the male followed the woman into the Amelia Street Garage when she got off, according to the police.
After that, he grabbed her wrist and took her into a stairwell, as the release reveals.
Lamarcus Bernard Robinson Jr., who is facing allegations of sexual battery and false imprisonment, was located and taken into custody by the police on Monday evening.
According to the organization, the survivor offered a thorough description of Robinson, which assisted them in identifying him in a short amount of time by utilizing databases and the cooperation of the Orlando Police Department.
