Brockton, MA: A man from Brockton who is suspected of shooting and killing his brother on Easter has been taken into custody in the state of Maine.
Tuesday afternoon in Lewiston, Maine, Jeremiah Abreu, who is twenty years old, was taken into custody as he was leaving a residence.
According to the police, they initially received a call at 2:17 on Sunday morning reporting a shooting that had taken place at a residence located on Hoover Avenue in Brockton. Sedrick Abreu, who was 27 years old at the time, was discovered by the police at the location with a gunshot wound to his chest. It was determined that he had passed away at the Good Samaritan Hospital, where he was taken for treatment.

Even though one neighbor reported hearing shouting emanating from the residence, the police have not provided any further information regarding the gunshot.
The residence was searched by the police, and Sirick Amado, 24, and Antonio Dejesus, 26, were taken into custody. An allegation of accessory to homicide was brought against both of the guys. A not-guilty plea was entered by both of the men in the Brockton District Court on Monday. They have been detained without the possibility of bail pending the risk assessment hearing.
It is planned that Jeremiah Abreu will be extradited from Maine to Massachusetts, where he will be charged with various offenses, one of which being murder.
