Redlands, CA: After claims surfaced that a male instructor at a Christian school in Redlands had inappropriate contact with many female students, the school’s administration placed the teacher on administrative leave, and authorities are pursuing a criminal investigation, according to a statement released by the police on Tuesday.
As part of the investigation into charges of sexual battery, investigators conducted a visit to the Redlands Adventist Academy, which is located at 130 Tennessee Street, on May 7.
An official statement from the Redlands Police Department stated that “investigators believe the teacher inappropriately touched at least five students.”
The claims against the teacher date back around three years, with the most recent report taking place in April, according to the police. The kids ranged in age from fourteen to seventeen years old.
There has been no announcement of arrests, and the police have not been able to identify the teacher.
According to the police, the educator is currently on administrative leave pending the outcome of an investigation.
Authorities have stated that they are looking for further victims. At the number (909) 798-7643, Detective Steve Truong requested that anyone who may have been a victim or is otherwise directly engaged with the investigation get in touch with him.
