Kentucky Woman Arrested for Forcing 11-year-old into Explicit and Inappropriate Activities; Victim Told Social Service Worker

A woman was apprehended in Magoffin County last Wednesday due to an arrest warrant from Madison County. The warrant accuses her of committing a serious offense against an 11-year-old child.

A woman from Richmond was arrested by a Kentucky State Police Trooper at a home on KY Rt. 30. The arrest was made on July 17, based on an arrest warrant from the Madison County Sheriff’s Department.

In a recent development, an arrest warrant was issued on July 12 by the Madison County Sheriff’s Department. Donovan Nolan, a member of the department, reported that on June 12, a social services worker visited a home in Madison County to look into an allegation of neglect against Firebaugh.

A social services worker recently conducted an interview with an 11-year-old child. During the interview, the child disclosed that Firebaugh engaged in inappropriate behavior while the child was present. The child reported that Firebaugh used certain objects and engaged in actions that made the child uncomfortable.

An 11-year-old child expressed concerns to a Child Advocacy Center about feeling unsafe and uncomfortable with Firebaugh. The child reported instances of Firebaugh engaging in inappropriate behavior while in bed together, which happened on multiple occasions over the past year, as stated in the arrest warrant.

Authorities conducted a thorough search of the residence and successfully located the items as described by the child, as stated in the warrant.

According to the warrant, social workers sent writings to the police in which Firebaugh allegedly referred to the child victim as “the Antichrist.”

Firebaugh was taken into custody by the police and initially brought to the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center. She was then moved to the Madison County Detention Center, where she is currently being held. She is currently being charged with first-degree sexual abuse involving a victim under 12 years of age, which is considered a Class C felony.

Firebaugh’s preliminary hearing in her felony case in Madison County is scheduled for July 31 at 9:30 a.m.

As per the warrant, she has been assigned a bond of $50,000 in cash and is required to refrain from any contact with minor children.
