Gages Lake, IL: A Gages Lake resident is now facing multiple charges following an incident where he reportedly inflicted a severe injury to another individual’s abdomen during a heated dispute on Saturday morning.

A 23-year-old man, Anthony Osmena, has been charged with multiple counts of aggravated battery and one count of unlawful use of a weapon, according to Lake County Sheriff’s Detectives.

According to authorities, a 24-year-old man from Round Lake Beach was critically injured in an incident that led to the charges.

Deputies reported that Osmena and the victim were in a car together on West Big Oaks Road when a disagreement arose between them.

The driver of the vehicle eventually stopped near Eastwood Avenue and Chippewa Road to let Osmena off, but deputies say he and the victim both got out of the vehicle.
