Grocery Store Worker Stabbed Multiple Times in Fort Worth during Attempted Robbery

Fort Worth, TX: A robber attacked a grocery store employee and stabbed her multiple times in Fort Worth, authorities reported.

Multiple abdominal stab wounds sustained by a grocery store employee during an attempted burglary in West Fort Worth on Wednesday afternoon have rendered her in critical but stable condition.

Just after noon, Fort Worth police were dispatched to a Kroger on Camp Bowie West in response to a burglary when they discovered a man armed with a knife had entered the establishment and attempted to rob one of the cashiers.

Police report that a woman in her twenties was wounded multiple times in the abdomen during the attempted robbery.

A Kroger representative stated that an employee was involved in the “sad and unfortunate situation” and that “the entire Kroger family extends our condolences, prayers, and support to our associate and their family.”

The unidentified woman was transported to a hospital where she was listed in critical but stable condition.

The male who allegedly attempted to rob the store was apprehended, according to the police. His identity remains unknown, and the allegations against him are not immediately apparent.

Kroger stated in a statement that the store will remain closed pending the conclusion of the investigation and that they are cooperating with law enforcement.

Additionally, they stated that a third-party armed security guard service is present at the establishment during the evenings and that they intend to extend that service from the time it opens until it closes for the time being.

The police conducted witness interviews and gathered evidence within for several hours.
