Georgia Man Arrested for Alleged Molestation and Abuse of a Student and His Siblings; Police Records Reveal

Since April, the LaGrange police department has been searching for a guy who has been accused of sexually abusing many children. The suspect has now been taken into custody.

An individual who was a student at LaGrange made the initial report of the abuse on April 12th. A teaching member was informed by the student about the abuse that had been committed against them and their siblings.

A call was placed to the LaGrange Police Department, and the officers conducted interviews with the siblings. The police department determined that Jeremy William Powell was the person responsible for the crime, and warrants were issued for his arrest on charges of rape, child molestation, and a variety of other types of felonies.

Powell was reportedly hiding at 42 Ash Drive, according to information that was received by the police department on June 13. The area was subjected to surveillance, and it was established beyond a reasonable doubt that Powell was present within the property as reported by FOX Atlanta.

After a search warrant was obtained, deputies from the Troup County Sheriff’s Office aided LaGrange police officers and detectives in taking Powell into custody following the execution of the search warrant.
