Former WWE Wrestler and Election Candidate Wanted in Las Vegas on Homicide Charges

Las Vegas, NV: Daniel Rodimer, a former WWE wrestler and congressional candidate, is reportedly being sought for murder in relation to a homicide on the Las Vegas strip in 2023.

An arrest warrant for Rodimer was filed in Las Vegas Justice Court earlier this week, as reported by News 3 Las Vegas. He is being sought in relation to the death of 47-year-old Christopher Tapp.

LVMPD said in January that Tapp was discovered with injuries allegedly resulting from an incident at Resorts World Las Vegas on Oct. 29. He subsequently passed away in a hospital.

Detectives discovered that Tapp was engaged in a physical altercation inside a hotel room, according to a statement by LVMPD. The Clark County Coroner’s office determined that his death was a homicide due to blunt force injuries to the head.

The Clark County District Attorney’s office filed a criminal complaint accusing Rodimer of intentionally and premeditatedly killing Tapp by striking him on the head. Rodimer transitioned to wrestling after his tenure as a college football and semi-professional football player. He joined the WWE in 2006 but was released by the promotion the next year.

He made unsuccessful attempts to win a congressional seat in Nevada in 2020 and in Texas in 2021.
