Florida Teen Shot Boyfriend Dead after Pulling Trigger of Gun He Brought to Show Her; Killer Girlfriend Arrested

A 16-year-old girl has been taken into custody following the tragic incident of her boyfriend’s fatal shooting in an Orange County residence.

An incident occurred in the early hours of July 30th on Easton Street.

Upon arrival at the scene, deputies from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office discovered 16-year-old David Anthony Vargas Acker suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to the hospital and declared deceased.

According to investigators, Acker had brought the gun to the home with the intention of showing it to his girlfriend and another friend.

According to deputies, the three individuals were playfully handling the firearm, posing with it, and even pointing it at each other. Shockingly, at one moment, the girl aimed the gun at Acker, pulled the trigger, and shot him.

Following consultation with the State Attorney’s Office, detectives obtained an arrest warrant for the individual and apprehended her on Wednesday. She is being charged with aggravated manslaughter of a child.

She is currently being held at the juvenile detention center.
