Florida Mom Killed her Twins after taking them to McDonald; Says her financial Status and Debts made her do that

Miami-Dade, FL: The mother, a 42-year-old, is facing charges of abandoning her three-year-old fraternal twins in the car’s back seat on an overpass before attempting suicide by jumping to the train tracks below. According to the police, in the hours leading up to their deaths, the mother tried to provide her children with one last “good day” by taking them to McDonald’s and Chuck E. Cheese.

Authorities have hinted that additional charges, including murder, may be brought against Shirlene Alcime after the preliminary investigation is over, while she is presently facing two counts of child negligence in relation to the children’s deaths. The children’s toxicological screening results have not been released yet.

According to what Law&Crime has already published, the police who had come to the flyover to apprehend Alcime could only observe as she “jumped over the expressway wall” and into the lines below. The two kids were found unconscious and foaming at the mouth inside the vehicle when the cops arrived. Tragically, the children were declared dead not long after.

Twins Found Dead In Car On I-95 In Miami-Dade, Mother In Critical Condition

At Wednesday’s pretrial release hearing, Miami-Dade Police Det. Malia Carson testified regarding her troubling contacts with the twins’ mother after the demise of Milendhet and Milendhere Napoleon-Cadet, as well as her attempts at suicide.

The Miami ABC affiliate WPLG reports that Carson informed the court that the first responding cops discovered Alcime on the railroad lines beneath the highway overpass from which she had plunged. On the tracks, Alcime was “moaning and crawling,” according to the detective.

Carson supposedly said that during her conversation with Alcime, the mother allegedly expressed severe financial hardship and threatened to leave her children “homeless or sleeping in a car” if left unattended by their father.

“She wanted the kids to have a good day,” Alcime allegedly told Carson, “so we went to McDonald’s and Chuck E. Cheese before we stopped on the overpass.” This was according to WPLG’s reporting of Carson’s interactions with Alcime. It was then that Alcime allegedly stated she “began to drive around” after loading the children into the car.

Police In Florida Say A Man Is Facing Multiple Charges In The Death Of His 4-Month-Old Daughter

Carson claims that in the moments leading up to their deaths, Alcime was unable to explain why her twins were both foaming at the mouth.

Judge Ellen Venzer allegedly stated that Alcime posed a threat to the community, and since Alcime is still hospitalized, she decided that she should remain detained. Alcime was unable to attend the hearing on Wednesday.

Alcime allegedly informed authorities that she had been plotting the twins’ murder for approximately two months “due to her current financial status and multiple debt(s) that she owes,” in addition to making remarks about wishing the children a final “good day.”

Alcime allegedly informed authorities that she had spent the day of February 1st looking for bridges from which she could leap and end her life.

March 19 is the day of Alcime’s next court appearance.
