Florida Couple Arrested in Missouri as They Brutally Restrained Kids and Kept Inappropriate Stuff in Kid’s Closet: Police

A Florida couple has been taken into custody in Camden County after escaping from charges related to child abuse and drug offenses in their home state.

On April 12, Nikolas Adam Harris and Helen Elizabeth Harris were taken into custody, as reported by the Camden County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO). Charges have been filed against both individuals for possessing a controlled substance, along with two counts of first-degree endangering the welfare of a child related to drugs.

On April 12, the U.S. Marshals Service reached out to CCSO for help in finding two missing children from Escambia County, Florida.

Authorities in Florida have uncovered that children were being cruelly restrained and drugs were being manufactured in the residence where the two individuals were living illegally. Nikolas and Helen Harris fled Florida before law enforcement could take the children as ordered by the court.

Authorities located the parents in Missouri and subsequently found Nikolas and Helen at a home on Channel Buoy Drive.

Deputies from the CCSO conducted a search of the residence and discovered a blue canvas bag filled with glass pipes and a small pill bottle that held a bag of a white powdery substance. Two pipes have been confirmed to contain methamphetamine.

Alongside the drugs and paraphernalia, authorities discovered a separate bag filled with sex toys in the bedroom that also contained children’s clothing and toys.

The announcement reveals that the children have been handed over to the Missouri Children’s Division, which is working with Florida authorities to relocate them to a secure, undisclosed location.
