Washington DC: A DJ from Atlantic City, who traveled to Washington, D.C. on Jan 6, 2021, to participate in a rally and later entered the U.S. Capitol building with his father, has been sentenced to 45 days in prison.
James Rahm III, also known as JD Rahm, admitted his guilt in October for obstructing law enforcement during a civil disorder.
In October 2022, Doug Rahm, Rahm’s father, was found guilty of all charges and is now facing one year in prison. He is currently not in custody while waiting for his case to be appealed.
JD Rahm mentioned that he accompanied his father on that day to capture the event on video. Surprisingly, the video he captured using his Go-Pro camera and shared on Twitter ultimately resulted in his arrest by the FBI.
A video captured Rahm III leading a group of individuals into the Capitol, overpowering officers and gaining access to the building. His father was one of the people who gained entry through those doors. Rahm’s video seems to capture him enjoying a smoke in the Capitol Rotunda.
“Oh, my f— God, we just stormed the Capitol,” JD Rahm shouted in one clip posted just moments before he entered the building, according to court documents.
