The popular anime franchise is returning to the big screen after the record-breaking success of Dragon Ball: Super Broly.
Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, the newest film in the massively popular anime franchise, will enter theatres worldwide this summer, according to Crunchyroll and Toei Animation.
Super Hero will be Crunchyroll’s first globally integrated theatrical release. It will be the second installment under the Dragon Ball banner, following the launch of Broly in 2018. The 2 anime movies are sequels to Dragon Ball Super, which has both a manga and an anime series, the latter of which stopped producing new episodes in 2018.
“The Dragon Ball franchise has enthralled fans across the world for more than 30 years as they follow the planet’s finest warriors as they defend Earth from evil powers,” said Crunchyroll President Rahul Purini. “We’re ecstatic to be collaborating with Toei Animation to offer the latest chapter of Dragon Ball Super to the legion of superfans eager to continue the adventure and to expand the anime audience who are experiencing it for the first time.”

Dragon Ball Super: When Is the New Movie Super Hero Releasing?
After being forced to postpone its planned release date due to server hacking, Toei Animation has confirmed when the long-awaited film will be released.
On June 11, 2022, Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero will be released in Japanese theatres. The highly anticipated film based on Akira Toriyama’s work has already been given a new release date, according to Toei Animation.
