They are two of the all-time greatest ninjas. The Hidden Leaf was created by Hashirama and Madara, adding a new twist to the story of Asura and Indra Otsutsuki. Madara’s so-called “death” was the consequence of the last battle between the two Hidden Leaf ninjas, which was an all-time epic.
Madara and Hashirama, two erstwhile friends and Konoha’s most fearsome warriors battle it out for the right to govern the village. Because their fight takes place in Death Valley, it foreshadows future Naruto-Sasuke battles.
