The caretaker was taken into custody by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, and he was charged with the offense of abusing a person who has a disability.
The arrest of Ruben Cano, who is 51 years old, took place on Tuesday in the Woodlands, according to a release. The victim’s mother was interviewed by the Sheriff’s Office, and she indicated that her son was assaulted by the home healthcare professional who was providing care for him.
Following the conclusion of the investigation, Cano was taken into custody and charged with the third-degree felony of inflicting injury on a disabled person.
