Big Drug Bust in Athens; Police Seized Pills, Meth, Guns And Mushrooms

Athens, Georgia: A significant amount of amphetamine pills, marijuana, firearms, and other illicit items were confiscated in a recent drug operation near Athens.

Recently, a joint operation involving multiple law enforcement agencies was conducted at a residence in Bogart, Georgia. The operation took place on Jan. 4 and involved the Northeast Georgia Regional Drug Task Force, the Athens-Clarke County Police Department K-9 Unit, and the Drug Enforcement Agency.

As part of the investigation, law enforcement discovered and confiscated a significant amount of illegal substances, including amphetamine pills, hallucinogenic psilocybin mushrooms, THC oils and edibles, as well as a substantial quantity of marijuana. Additionally, they found six guns and one rifle.

Jamie Favors from Bogart is facing charges related to drug possession and firearm offenses.
