Columbus, OH: Authorities in Ohio have arrested a former Ohio State football player, Marcus Williamson, after he was accused of robbing a bank in the north Columbus area.
Records from Franklin County Municipal Court show that the player went into the First Merchant’s Bank at 5090 North High Street around 10:40 in the morning.
According to the official records, Williamson went up to the teller and gave them a note in which he asked for money and said he had a gun. Williamson got an unspecified amount of cash from the terrified teller.
Williamson got into a Jeep and ran away after leaving the bank. Although Williamson was trying to get away, the police caught him. Records show that cash was found on him. Following the arrest he was charged with aggravated theft.
He has to go to court again on Friday because the judge did not set a bond for him on Thursday.
Some people reported that Williamson is being investigated for nine bank thefts that have happened in the last few weeks as per 10TV News.
Williamson was last caught almost two years ago and charged with kidnapping, robbing, and carjacking a woman in Tennessee.
