After his young daughter was rushed to the hospital with terrible injuries, a man from Woodstock is facing significant charges in connection with the investigation.
Deputy sheriffs from Cherokee County announced on Monday that they were dispatched to Children’s Scottish Rite Hospital in response to reports of a youngster who may have been subjected to abuse.
The child, who was only ten weeks old at the time, reportedly suffered significant damage to her mouth and throat, in addition to fractured bones in her legs, ribs, and foot.
The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit was where she was receiving treatment at the time. It is unknown what her present state is at this time.
After being taken into custody, John Azzolino, who is 35 years old, was charged with two charges of aggravated violence and cruelty to children. According to the investigators, he will most likely be charged with other offenses.
As far as the detectives are concerned, the mother of the child is cooperating and has not been charged.
In addition, the couple has a kid who is three years old and is currently under the custody of the Department of Family and Community Services as per WSB TV in Yahoo News.
Without the possibility of bond, Azzolino is currently being held in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
