Arizona Teacher Molested 17-year-old High-School Student; Victim Ran Away From His Home to Escape Abuse

A teacher from Lake Havasu City, Arizona, has been taken into custody on allegations that she sexually abused a student who was 17 years old and had been missing for several months.

Robyn Rogers, 44 years old, was taken into custody on Thursday, July 11, after the Lake Havasu City Police Department got information concerning the location of the adolescent, as reported by the local CBS News station AZ Family.

The police stated that they went to a place off of Highway 95 and Palo Verde Boulevard on that day and spoke with Rogers, who was allegedly sheltering the 17-year-old, who had supposedly run away from home in February, according to the outlet.

An official representative for the Lake Havasu City Police Department declined to give any additional information, citing the current investigation as the official reason.


AZ Family reported that Rogers was charged with three charges of sexual activity with a minor, as well as obstructing prosecution, false reporting to law enforcement, possession of narcotic narcotics, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
